[gelöst] WLAN Stick in Linux Mint einbinden [gelöst]

Moin zusammen!

Situation:

habe meinen Winddoof PC auf Linux Mint umgestellt.
Bin Absoluter Anfänger bei Linux.....

Versuche nun einen WLAN Stick von CSL (WLS41184) zu installieren.
Die "Treiber" oder Pakete (?) befinden sich auf der CD Rom.

Ich bin wohl zu doof oder zu unerfahren ;-) die richtigen Befehle im Terminal einzugeben.

mag mir jemand helfen?

der Stick hat einen rtl8812AU_8821AU Chipsatz, wenn du danach suchst findest du unzählige Anleitungen, auch für Mint/Ubuntu)

ich danke Dir für Deine Hilfe.
Ich denke ich habe noch ein anderes Problem....
Also: vor 4 Tagen habe ich die WLAN Verbindung mir einem einfachen Stick versucht und diese hat funktioniert und wurde in der Leiste unter Verbindungen angezeigt.
Heute habe ich den neuen Stick (mit Deiner Hilfe) installiert. das Auswahlfenster wird nicht in der Leiste angezeigt.
Erst dachte ich die Inst ist falsch gelaufen und habe es nochmal versucht. Fenster anbei.
habe dann den alten Stick versucht und das Fenster wird in der Leiste nicht angezeigt und der alte Stick funktioniert auch nicht.
Ich denke ich habe einen Fehler in das System gebracht??

"dmesg" wär wichtiger, da steht drin warum er das modul für den stick nicht laden kann.

und was sagt "ifconfig" wenn die sticks drin hängen? da sollte das Interface stehen.
Kein Support per PM!

ich glaube da war ein Fehler im System.....
habe ich bestimmt irgendwo reingebaut... ;-)
habe das System neu aufgesetzt und nach Deiner Anleitung den "Treiber" installiert.
nun wird der Stick erkannt.
komischerweise bringt er 801 n nur direkt am PC und nicht an einer Verlängerung.
werde nochmal versuchen.

wahrscheinlich eine dumme Frage (wieder mal...) :

funktioniert das mit diesem Treiber genauso unter zB Ubuntu Mate?
habe noch einen raspi2 rumliegen und möchte meiner Frau einen kleinen Büro PC bauen.
oder würdest Du da ein anderes BS empfehlen?

Windows 10

Auf eBay für 10-15 € nen OEM Key für Windows 7,8 oder 10 kaufen und n legales Windows 10 rauf packen. Mach ich bei allen neuen Setups wo Bekannte noch nicht ganz legale Windows 7 Versionen drauf hatten - oder alte Laptops die ich zur Reparatur bekomme..

Mit Linux wirst du deine Frau definitiv nicht glücklich machen, und dich erst recht nicht wenn du Ruhe haben willst ;)

Windows 7 hätte ich noch, gibt ja noch den Wechsel auf 10.....
ich dachte Linux wäre Ressourcenschonender....
bootet der raspi auch von einer USB Platte und könnte ich das BS darauf installieren?

Die neuen Linux Versionen mit Desktop Umgebung usw sind nicht wirklich Ressourcenschonender..
Und nen RPI als Workstation kann ich dir ebenfalls nicht empfehlen - du hast ne ARM CPU..
